Rigorous course in the elementary fundamental principles of chemistry, including elementary structure of atoms and molecules, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, introduction to quantum chemistry, molecular bonding and geometry, phases of matter and phase changes, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, kinetics, solutions, qualitative analysis, descriptive chemistry and nuclear chemistry. Prerequisites: CHE 111 and 111L. Lecture, 3 hours per week. Laboratory and lab lecture, 6 hours per week.
