Student Learning Outcomes
Graduates of the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Humanities: African-American Studies Concentration will:
- Apply integrated concepts and theories of Humanities and African, African American people and African diaspora cultures to construct a research-based dissertation.
- Assess historical and contemporary body of works of African Americans and people of African descent through humanistic inquiry.
- Interpret and communicate effectively in oral and written formats the humanistic influences of African Americans and people of African descent.
