Student Learning Outcomes
Students pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Humanities: History Concentration will:
- Assess the impact of historical and contemporary body of works and append the multiple facets of causation through humanistic inquiry.
- Interpret and communicate effectively in oral and written formats the value of historical data based on its context, credibility, authority, and bias.
- Discuss and critique the humanistic influence of major history scholars within historical schools.
- Apply integrated concepts and theories of humanities and historical principles and strategies to construct a research-based dissertation.
Degree Requirements
In addition to the General Degree Requirements as published in this Catalog, candidates pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Humanities: History Concentration, are required to complete thirty (30) credits in the following coursework:
